Pics: Harry's Kewell career

Socceroo Tim Cahill called it the end of era when the player dubbed "Australia’s finest football export" finally brought the curtain down on a glittering career.

Harry Kewell's 56-cap career spanned 18 years and included spells with European clubs Leeds United, Liverpool and Galatasaray before returning home to a hero's welcome. Stints with A-League clubs Melbourne Victory and Melbourne Heart followed.

The two times World Cup veteran's career was often blighted by injury but the skills of the flying winger with the sweet left foot were undeniable and in 2012 he was named Australia's greatest football player.
