Mark Bresciano and Michael Zullo launched the back to the future retro-style Socceroos kit in Sydney today which blends modern day technology with an authentic 70s look to hark back to the days of the 1974 World Cup.
The new Nike kit - based on the kit Australia wore to qualify for the '74 World Cup - sports a green collar and detailing and also revives the white socks of the 70s.
But despite the old skool styling, the fabric is the very latest in design to cope with the toughest conditions while remaining lightweight.
And now even the socks are made from recycled material, with the whole kit now made from 18 recycled plastic bottles.
The kit goes on sale on Thursday and is priced $100 RRP for men and $80 for youth. A women's version will also be available with a slightly different neckline and around the arms.
