Adelaide down Sydney in final pre-season hit out

Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold remained upbeat despite watching his side go down 2-0 to Adelaide United in the final pre-season hit out for both clubs.

A second half brace from Bruce Djite sealed the win for the Reds who fielded a strong line-up for the behind closed doors clash at Leichhardt Oval on Wednesday.

Post-match Arnold said: "We made 11 changes today against a strong Adelaide United but it's good all players have now had a good run pre-season."

"We've now got 24 match fit players ahead of next week's first match with one pre-game still to play."

Sydney's pre-season friendly record was a mixed bag with a W4, D0, L3 outcome.

Adelaide heads into the A-League season with a W6, D0, L3 friendly record.
