Aussies Abroad weekly wrap

We start our Easter action in Scotland, where Jackson Irvine netted for Ross County, Scott McDonald set up a late winner for Motherwell, while Tom Rogic also made his long-awaited return from injury for Celtic’s development squad.

Subs Banged in the goals, with Mark Griffin coming off the bench to score the winning goal for Bohemian FC in Ireland, while Apostolis Giannou was also on the scoresheet after coming on as a second half sub in Greece. 

Elsewhere, there were goals to Ersin Kaya in Turkey, while in Malaysia, Sabah’s new recruit Joel Chianese scored a brace with Robbie Cornthwaite also bagging a goal.

UK

In the English Premier League, Mark Schwarzer was an unused substitute for Leicester City as they won 2-1 at home to West Ham United. Brad Jones was also an unused substitute as Liverpool FC were hammered 4-1 away to top four rivals Arsenal FC. Chris Herd was missing due to injury as Aston Villa lost 3-1 away to Manchester United. Curtis Good was also missing due to injury as Newcastle United lost 1-0 away to local rivals AFC Sunderland. Jason Davidson was not in the squad as West Bromwich Albion lost 4-1 at home to relegation-threatened Queens Park Rangers.

In the Championship in England, Adam Federici played a full match for Reading FC as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Cardiff City. Rhys Williams was missing due to injury as Middlesbrough FC won 1-0 at home to Wigan Athletic.
