Melbourne Victory skipper Carl Valeri admits he is fresh and ready to make his return into Kevin Muscat's starting XI.
The reigning champions travel to Auckland to face Wellington Phoenix this Saturday.
Valeri has not started an A-League game since the last time Victory played Phoenix - a 3-0 win for the Victorians at the start of November.
The midfielder made his playing return against Adelaide United last Saturday and played the final 20 minutes in the side's 2-1 home win.
And now Valeri admits he is fit and raring to push for a starting berth this weekend.
"These things happen, it's part of our sport," he told Fox Sports. "Injuries are something that happens to everyone in sport. It's just about dealing with them.
"I've been fairly lucky throughout my career and everything I've had this year has just been niggling. Time will heal it.
"I'm fine now and ready to go this weekend."
Valeri's midfield partner, Oliver Bozanic, scored his first goal for the club in the win over Adelaide.
And the 31-year-old cannot wait to share the pitch with him again.
"I love watching Olly play and I love playing alongside him," he said.
"He's a special player and I think he's really going to grow."comments
