Perth Glory have been one of the form sides of the competition so it was no wonder that Spanish maestro Diego Castro would be rewarded for his part in the club's resurgance, and recognised by the PFA as their player of the month.
Castro leads the line for the Glory, with 11 goals so far this season, and was ecstatic to recieve the award.
“All players value the recognition of their fellow professionals and this award means a lot to me,” said Castro.
“I would like to thank my teammates, the fans and everyone who voted for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the Hyundai A-League and I hope we can achieve something special this season with the club.”
PFA President Matt McKay said Castro’s performances had lit up the League.
“Diego has consistently been one of the league’s standout performers and February was no different,” said McKay.
“He has already made an enormous contribution to the A-League and I have little doubt he will continue to do so throughout the remainder of the campaign."11 comments
