Leicester City’s talented Australian Callum Elder has returned to action after almost five months out with a foot injury.
The 21-year-old Young Socceroo played 10 minutes off the bench on Thursday as Leicester defeated Chelsea 3-0 in the Under-21 Premier League.
It marked his first competition action since tearing ligaments in his foot on December 19 in a league match against Blackpool.
The left back impressed was playing on loan at League One club Peterborough United, where he made 21 appearances this season.
His loan spell was cut short by the injury as he underwent surgery, leaving him sidelined.
