Clean Sheets

Sydney FC – Sydney are the best team away-from-home in the league. They will keep a clean sheet and get a positive result to climb back up the ladder. Without Gersbach (who is suspended following the red card from last week), pick Rhyan Grant ($5,700) who offers good value.

Western Sydney Wanderers – Perth are coming off a mid-week game against Victory and up-against the best side in the league at this minute. They have only conceded 3 goals in their last 8 games. Stack your backline with defenders from the Sydney-based clubs this week.

Key Players

FWD – Bruno Fornaroli ($7,900) vs Victory: Having scored 4 goals in his last 3 games, Fornaroli is flying on top of the goal scoring charts. With the current form of Melbourne City and the fact Victory are still the Champions, this derby is a match we don’t what the outcome will be.  We do think there will be plenty of goals and Fornaroli is the man to pick.

FWD – Kosta Barbarouses ($8,400) vs City: We stay in the Derby match once again. Barbarouses performs extremely well when playing City. He’s netted 5 times in 10 games and looms as tremendous value this week. Victory have lost 3 straight and will need their frontline firing to rediscover their early season form.

MID – Mitch Nichols ($7,500) vs Perth: Nichols is playing superbly right now and is in the best form of his career. A dogged Perth side will need to restrict space on the edges where Bridge and Castelen are currently exploiting, thus allowing Nichols to make those incisive runs into dangerous attacking areas. He will be playing against his former employers and will look to prove a point.

MID – Filip Holosko ($8,500) vs Phoenix:  The great touch and finish to score last week will be a welcome confidence booster to the marquee man. Having struggled to settle to the pace of the A-league, Sydney FC desperately needs Holosko to start delivering. Can he handle this added pressure? We think so. Back him to be on the scoresheet again.

Good luck with your teams this week! If you have your own thoughts or suggestions, comment in the 442 forums thread.
