FFA Cup quarter-final details revealed

The FFA Cup quarter-finals will see four matches played across four states over three huge weeks of football.

All four matches will be broadcast live on Fox Sports.

In the first of the blockbuster encounters, Queensland’s Palm Beach Sharks will host Central Coast at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast, on Tuesday October 14.

It will be the Mariners’ second trip to the Sunshine State in the FFA Cup after they defeated Olympic FC at the Queensland Sports and Athletic Centre in the Round of 16.

A week later the Cup action moves to Allianz Stadium for the first of the all A-League clashes between Sydney FC and Adelaide United on Tuesday October 21.

The Sky Blues were officially drawn a home fixture for the first time following wins in Ballarat and Edensor Park in their opening two matches.

Conversely it will be the Reds’ first away game – but their third A-League opponent – having hosted Wellington Phoenix and Brisbane Roar on their way to the final eight.

Wednesday October 29 is a massive double-header with two matches broadcast back-to-back.

The night kicks off with an all-Member Federation fixture when Victorian club Bentleigh Greens face off against Adelaide City at Kingston Heath Soccer Complex.

After two tough victories away from home, Bentleigh will enjoy being back in familiar surroundings for the visit of Adelaide City, who will be on the road for the first time in an impressive Cup run that has included the scalps of Western Sydney Wanderers and Brisbane Strikers.

Following that match, Perth Glory will host Melbourne Victory at nib Stadium.

Melbourne Victory’s second Cup trip to Western Australia looms as a highly-anticipated clash with both teams enjoying strong results ahead of their 2014-15 A-League campaigns.
