Perth Glory hope to have a chief executive appointed by the end of June after receiving more than 50 applications for the role.
Asian Cup 2015 chief Michael Brown is leading the selection panel, which has received applications from Australia, the United States and the Middle East.
Brown said the interview process had already started.
“We have interviewed eight high-calibre candidates. Ultimately we have been looking for football people committed to Perth Glory’s long-term success," he said in a statement.
“Now we’re hopeful of making a CEO announcement before the end of the month with a view to have that person here as soon as possible."
Brown said he was "comfortable" the Glory had great leaders and patience as they look to rebuild after the salary cap dramas of last season.comments
