Socceroo Curtis Good is hoping to be back training with Dundee United by the end of this week and could make a dream comeback for the Scottish Cup final.
Good has been out of action since injuring his hip flexor in the Socceroos friendly with Ecuador in March.
The defender, on loan from Newcastle United, had been in good form before that for his Scottish club.
According to reports, a recent scan of Good’s injury showed some bleeding but the 21-year old has been running with Newcastle and told FourFourTwo it was just a small setback.
“I’m just being safe with it,” Good said.
“There was a little bit of bleeding. Just a small setback.”
The Olyroo skipper said he would like to return for the Scottish final against St Johnstone, at Celtic Park on May 17, but has been given no guarantees.
“The recovery is going well,” Good added.
“I’m hoping to be training by the end of the week. We’ll have to wait and see about the cup final though. Yeah it would be amazing (to play in it), especially if we win.”comments
