Griffin's team of the week

Week 16 of the A-League and new names are stil forcing their way into the team of the week every round. Who made the cut for ex-Brisbane Roar goalkeeper Griffin McMaster this week?

GK Liam Reddy
(Central Coast Mariners)
Was solid throughout for Mariners and thwarted any efforts that came his way against Newcastle Jets. Consistency has been one of his big goals this season and he’s done a very good job between the sticks.
DL Josh Rose
(Central Coast Mariners)
Is rip right fit and produces consistent performances week in week out for his club. Saturday night wasn’t any exception again with his workrate and commitment to tackles very good.
DC Patrick Kisnorbo
(Melbourne Heart)
Football fans love a player that plays aggressive in your face football and Patrick certainly plays that way. His experience at the back for Heart is invaluable.
DC Nikola Petkovic
(Sydney FC)
Is a tower at the back and help kept the back four very solid against Victory. Is one of the most imposing defenders in the league - Sydney should do everything to keep him as an integral part at the club.
DR Seb Ryall
(Sydney FC)
Enjoyed a masterful afternoon for Sydney FC. Helping with a clean sheet and scoring a mazy goal that you don’t normally see - and we didn’t know Seb had it in him.
MC Aaron Mooy
(Western Sydney Wanderers)
Wanderers fans will be disappointed if they see Mooy leaving for Heart for next season. He was everywhere in his match at home to Perth and put one in the back of the net from a freekick for good measure.
MC Luke Brattan
(Brisbane Roar)
Mike Mulvey's words rung out after his team’s 2-1 win - if there’s one player you want running onto the ball outside the box at a pivotal moment, it’s Luke Brattan. He produced just that with the winning goal. His creativity in midfield is very good. Although small in size, he makes it up with his tenacity and great technique. He’s doing everything right to be an important part of Roar’s future - if not, an overseas move could beckon.
AMC Alessandro Del Piero
(Sydney FC)
Played another top match for Sydney FC. Deadly from the penalty spot and converted again to put the sky blues 2-0 up, and also a goal in the second half cooly slotting past Coe for 4-0. Had class touches and a sublime match.
AMC Anthony Caceres
(Central Coast Mariners)
Where has kid come from? Scored a bullet from outside the box to give Mariners the lead. His passing, movement and pace, everything he did was very good and gives Mariners another outlet going forward.
SC Mark Bridge
(Western Sydney Wanderer)
It wasn’t necessarily just his contribution from the penalty spot. He was effective in all other quarters of the match help giving his team a 3-1 win over Perth. Always a consistent player in the A-League, week in week out, since joining the Wanderers.
SC Ranko Despotovic
(Sydney FC)
Played a class game for Sydney. Scored a brilliant opening goal and had a hand in a few more. Starting to prove his worth in the A-League and the Sky blues will be keen to keep him.

Great team of the week Griff, especially if you live north of the border. Almost the same as the Aussie cricket team. If you don't play in Sydney or Brisbane you don't make the team. Get the blinkers off and notice that Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth do play the game also.

Griff u was shit keeper and now u shit reporter , find new job don't embarrassing yourself

In fairness however this week had SFC winning 5-0, WSW 3-1 and CCM 3-0 i can see why most players would be from those sides.

Carrusca. Again.
Like Bulldog Bob said, if he played in one of the NSW teams he would be in every week.

Check out the forum pages on this site there is heaps of them ,mind you I don't like the new site.
