Birmingham City have confirmed they won’t pursue a deal for ex-Perth Glory midfielder Rostyn Griffiths who has been on trial at the club.
Griffiths made two appearances in pre-season for the Championship outfit but failed to do enough to impress boss Gary Rowett.
"Rostyn, we have let go," Rowett told the club’s website.
"I spoke to him and told him that I felt he had done quite well against Nuneaton and Kidderminster. I am aware he is little bit behind everyone else.
"I said that if could see him in 90 minutes, I'd get a better idea. At Northampton I think he was fairly quiet in the first-half then had to come off (due to a hip issue).
"I just haven't seen enough to say that he would come in and get in our team. We made a decision not to take that one any further."
It is understood Ipswich Town and Millwall are interested in Griffiths, who left Glory at the end of the 2014-15 season.
Fellow Australian Shane Lowry remains on trial and Rowett said he’d likely get an opportunity on Monday against Benfica B.
