Ibini confirms Sydney FC exit
Ibini was left off the retained list which Sydney announced on Wednesday, sparking discussion about his future.
The 22-year-old attacker's agent James Hardy confirmed to FourFourTwo his loan agreement from Shanghai SIPG had expired on June 1, meaning he was unavailable for the Chelsea friendly on Tuesday.
Ibini and Sydney had previously been in discussions about extending his stay beyond his loan deal, but the player took to Twitter on Thursday evening to confirm he wouldn't be returning.
I'd just like to thank all the Sydney FC fans and anyone who supported me throughout the season it… https://t.co/VZqgboDymc

Meanwhile, Hardy refused to comment on speculation linking Ibini with a move to Brugge where he'd link up with former Central Coast team-mate Mat Ryan.
Ibini trialled with Brugge as a 20-year-old in January 2013 although nothing eventuated, but his impressive 2014-15 season may have reignited their interest.
The Nigeria-born forward scored seven goals in 28 appearances for the Sky Blues.
