Socceroo Robbie Kruse has left Bayer Leverkusen to link up with VfB Stuttgart on a season-long loan deal with the option to make it permanent.
The 26-year-old attacking player, who’s time at Leverkusen was blighted by injury, has been handed the No.9 jersey.

Stuttgart sporting director Robin Dutt, said he was delighted to secure the Australian just hours before the European transfer window snapped shut.
"He has been involved in all of preseason for Leverkusen and has played a few times this season," Dutt said.
"With his pace and mobility, he is a perfect addition for our game."
Leverkusen signed Kruse from Fortuna Dusseldorf for $2 million in April 2013. He made 21 Bundesliga appearances, scoring two goals.
