Ladbrokes take a gamble on Roar shirt for Liverpool blockbuster
The one-off sponsorship deal is a first for the book-making giants who have snapped up prime front-of-shirt position for the highly anticipated friendly match at Suncorp Stadium on Friday July 17.
It comes after the A-League club hit a new obstacle this week with long-term shirt sponsor, The Coffee Club, severing commercial ties after eight years.
It was one of the longest running sponsorships of its kind in the A-League and reportedly worth $650,000 annually to the club.
“This is the first time Ladbrokes have had front-of-shirt position on a jersey and we are delighted that it is for such a high-profile game”, said James Burnett, Chief Marketing Officer at Ladbrokes Australia.
The Ladbrokes-branded Roar jersey, will be a special one-off Umbro kit designed specifically for the Liverpool FC match.
Limited numbers of the jersey will be produced for the match only and won’t be replicated or available for purchase.
