The 2015-16 A-League fixture was released on Monday. Here are a few storylines outside the derbies and blockbuster…
Danny Vukovic back in Perth
The Melbourne Victory goalkeeper's first trip back to nib Stadium comes on November 8, when his new team take on the Glory in round five. Just how Kenny Lowe's men are going at this early stage of the season will be interesting after their tumultuous 2014-15 campaign.
Ivan Franjic returns to Brisbane and John Aloisi meets former club
Some interest in the November 20 clash between Brisbane Roar and Melbourne City. This will mark Aloisi's seventh league clash in charge of the Roar, and it comes against the club – then Heart – that sacked him in December 2013. Former Roar defender Franjic is likely to get a warm welcome back at a club he won three championships with.
Iacopo La Rocca faces former club
The combative midfielder has signed with Adelaide United, who will face his former team Western Sydney in round two. There is generally a bit of feeling between the two sides, with all three of their matches last season having red cards. Contrasting styles, La Rocca is sure to play a role at Coopers Stadium. January 1 is when the Reds first head to Parramatta.
Corey Gameiro back in Sydney
The Melbourne City signing's return to Allianz Stadium is set to come in round one, pending fitness. Gameiro is unlikely to be well-received by the home fans after his decision to leave the Sky Blues for City. The talented forward is more than capable of silencing those fans with a goal.
Scott Neville and Jacob Pepper's Newcastle return
If the Jets have rediscovered their passion, their clash against the Wanderers at Hunter Stadium on November 7 may be a feisty one. Both Neville and Pepper opted to leave the Jets and sign with the Wanderers. Newcastle would definitely have liked to keep Neville, if not both.
