Leicester triumph puts Schwarzer in rare EPL company

Mark Schwarzer was part of the Leicester City sqaud that celebrated lifting the EPL title at the King Power Stadium overnight.

The goalkeeper remained on the bench as the Foxes celebrated their extraordinary league triumph with a 3-1 win over Everton.

The 43-year-old Socceroos legend has now claimed back-to-back Premier League winners medals - joining Eric Cantona as the only players in EPL history to do so with different clubs - despite being consigned to a No.2 role at Chelsea and the Foxes.

Meanwhile another former Socceroo, Scott McDonald, showed he is still in fine touch.

The feisty striker gave Motherwell an early advantage in Scotland’s Premiership run in, only to see his side beaten 2-1 by St Johnstone.
