Socceroo star Massimo Luongo has joined his green and gold teammate, Tim Cahill, in linking with global football brand New Balance.
Luongo has been signed to a roster that includes English Premier League stars Aaron Ramsay, Adnan Januzaj, Vincent Kompany, Samir Nasri, Marouane Fellaini, Alvaro Negredo, Jesus Navas, Fernando Reges and Nikica Jelavic.
The Aussie midfielder, who recently inked a deal with Queens Park Rangers in the Championship, will provide regular feedback on the design and trial of New Balance football boots and apparel.
“I feel I am taking a huge step forward in my career signing with New Balance,” Luongo said.
“With some of the best players in the Premier League and La Liga on their roster, as well as a national hero back home, Tim Cahill, the decision to work with New Balance was an easy one.
“I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Luongo has had a stellar rise in the past 12 months to become an integral part of Ange Postecoglou’s Socceroos squad.
The 22-year old, who made his name in League One with Swindon Town, was named the Most Valuable Player in the Asian Cup after helping Australia to continental glory.
“It is a pleasure to work with such an exciting player such as Massimo,” Matt Lawrence, marketing manager of New Balance Australia, said.
“The desire of New Balance to look to the future is summed up perfectly with this sponsorship. As a brand we look to find the best talent and the most determined individuals who we feel represent what we are striving to achieve on the global stage.
“Massimo has constantly challenged himself to take his game to the next level – we look forward to working successfully together.”comments
