Central Coast have looked to bolster their struggling attack, signing Travis Major until the end of the A-League season.
The Mariners, sitting eighth on the table, have managed just 10 goals in 13 league matches this campaign.
Phil Moss has added Major, 24, to his squad – with the forward joining from Blacktown City.
Major could feature against Melbourne City on Sunday as the Mariners look to end a 13-match winless run.
Moss was ready to sign Major in September after he played for the Mariners in pre-season, only to suffer a groin injury.
And he is planning further additions in the January transfer window.
“We’re likely to add one, perhaps two new players to the squad this month,” Moss said.
“But signing Travis is a great start. He’s hungry, he’s a winner, and he has something to prove.”
Moss added: "I really believe in Travis. He’s a very strong person mentally, and definitely gives us a physical presence.
"He has a real eye for goal and can score with both feet."comments
