Australian forward Nathan Burns set up one and scored the other as FC Tokyo defeated Gamba Osaka 2-1 in the J. League on Sunday.
Burns, 27, was making just his second start since his switch to Japan and scored the second goal of his J. League career.
Takuji Yonemoto scored the first goal of the game to give Tokyo the lead thanks to a Burns assist, before Patric equalised for Gamba just after the half-time break.
The winning goal came from Burns on the stroke of the hour, getting his head on the end of a cross from the right flank.
Burns was substituted after 84 minutes and awarded the man of the match post-game.
The win means FC Tokyo sit fourth on the table after seven games.comments
