FC Utrecht confirmed they have received no concrete offers for transfer-listed Socceroo Tommy Oar during the January transfer window.
Utrecht are keen to cash in on the 23-year-old winger in January, before his contract expires at season’s end.
Oar currently sits equal second for most assists in the Eredivisie and has reportedly attracted interest from Ajax.
However, Utrecht sporting director Wilco van Schaik told Voetbal International they were yet to receive a formal offer for the Australian.
"At the moment there is nothing concrete," van Schaik said.
Oar, who has previously been linked with Benfica and Udinese, is currently on international duty with the Socceroos at the 2015 Asian Cup, where he has only managed 15 minutes of action.
In Oar’s absence, Utrecht have drawn one game and lost another in the Eredivisie during January.
Utrecht have been quiet during the transfer window, only bringing in French striker Sebastien Haller on loan from Auxerre.
Van Schaik added that they weren’t looking to make any additions during January.
A fortnight ago, Oar told the Herald Sun he wouldn’t entertain transfer talk until the conclusion of the Asian Cup.
“I don’t know too much – I told my agent to keep things as quiet as possible until after the Asian Cup because I don’t want any distractions,’’ Oar said.
“I’ve got six months left on my contract, people start talking and the situation becomes more alarming I guess.
“But I haven’t paid too much attention. After the Asian Cup will come the time when I’ll have to look at it and look at the situation and see what options I have.”comments
