Australia continued their perfect start to AFC U-23 Championship qualifying with a comfortable 4-0 win over Chinese Taipei on Sunday.
Just two days after crushing Hong Kong 6-0, the Olyroos put three past the Group F hosts at the National Stadium in Kaohsiung.
Josh Brillante, Adam Taggart, Jaushua Sotirio and Brad Smith netted for Aurelio Vidmar's men in the easy victory.
The Olyroos are top of the group on six points but thanks to their +10 goal difference, with Tuesday's opponents Myanmar (six points, +4) second.
The group winners advance straight to the championships – while the top five highest-ranked second-placed teams, of which Myanmar are one, do likewise.
The top three teams at the AFC U-23 Championship advance to Rio.
Brillante put the Olyroos ahead against Chinese Taipei when he finished from close range after an 18-pass move.
Taggart doubled the lead before half-time and Sotirio added a third after the break with a tremendous 25-yard effort.
Smith got in on the act when he tucked away a cutback to make it 4-0 as the Olyroos completed another easy win.comments
