Perth Glory have released young attacking midfielder, Harry O’Brien, effective immediately.
O’Brien joined Glory in August 2013 from NPL club Cockburn City and is understood to be returning to State league competition with The Burn this year.
The 20-year-old played a host of pre-season and National Youth League matches during his time with Glory but has signalled an interest in returning to his studies.
"I'd like to thank the playing group, coaches and the club for its help over the past two years,” O’Brien said.
“It’s been a great learning experience and I'm now looking forward to my next football chapter.”
Two weeks ago Glory released another of its young platers, 20-year-old Brandon O'Neill, who left to pursue other opportunities.
Glory have surrendered top spot on the A-League ladder and currently sit in fourth, just two points off league leaders Wellington Phoenix.
There next chance to reclaim the lead comes on Sunday when they take on eighth-placed strugglers, Central Coast Mariners, at Gosford.
