Brisbane Roar have won the race for Jamie Maclaren, signing the striker to a two-year deal.
Maclaren left Perth Glory in June and was linked to multiple clubs.
But the 21-year-old has ended up at the Roar in some much-needed good news for the club.
Roar announced the deal on Sunday night, and coach John Aloisi is thrilled to have Maclaren as part of his squad.
“Jamie is one of the most promising young strikers in Australia at the moment,” Aloisi said.
“He is a genuine goal scorer who is leading the way in the qualifying campaign for the Rio Olympics.
“He is an ideal fit for the attacking way I want the Roar to play this season and I can’t wait to see him on the field in our orange."
Maclaren scored nine A-League goals in 20 appearances for the Glory last season.
"It feels great to be part of Brisbane Roar," he said.
"The Roar have been a strong side for many years now and very successful. For me to join a club with such a great history and a terrific bunch of players, I just can't wait to get started."
