Newcastle Jets have confirmed the mutually agreed release of 'sacked' duo Adrian Madaschi and Billy Celeski.
The two experieced players were brought into the Jets squad this season by coach Phil Stubbins.
Throughout the campaign Madaschi made 10 first team appearances for the club and Celeski four.
They were among five senior players axed by the club in January, prior to the intervention of the PFA.
Both players were off contract at the end of the season.
It is understood Madaschi will sign an injury replacement deal with Western Sydney Wanderers.
In a brief statement the club said it wished "the duo good fortune in their future football and personal endeavours".
The Jets have suffered a shambolic season and are coming off a 4-0 loss to Melbourne City.
They head to Parramatta on Saturday to play fellow cellar-dwellers Western Sydney Wanderers.
Both clubs are languishing at the bottom of the league ladder, equal on points, although Wanderers have a game in hand and a superior goal difference, comments
