Socceroo goalkeeper Adam Federici is off to Wembley to face EPL giant Arsenal after Reading won through to the FA Cup semi-finals on Tuesday morning (AEDT).
Federici kept a clean sheet as his side won their quarter-final replay 3-0 against fellow Australian James Meredith’s Bradford City at the Madejski Stadium, home of Reading.
After the first match ended in a 0-0 draw at Bradford, Reading flew out of the blocks in the return leg surging to a 2-0 lead inside 10 minutes.
Jamie Mackey added a third midway through the second half to put the result to bed.
It sets up a huge occasion for the Championship club, who take on heavyweights Arsenal in the last four at London’s iconic Wembley on the weekend of April 19-20.
An FA Cup semi-final is a just reward for Federici who has been in strong form for the Royals all season, despite the side’s struggles in the Championship.
