Rob Wielaert: Consistent performer and did well. Was not to blame for the goal that went in - 7
Iain Ramsay: Played left-back and was not disgraced - 7
Ross Archibald: Has had limited first team action however stood out well tonight - 7
Patrick Kisnorbo: Solid defender that always plays well - 8
Aaron Mooy: Looks to have adjusted will into City colours. Typical robust, busy performance - 7
Massimo Murdocca: Did ok although did not see a lot - 6
Erik Paartalu: Makes transition back into the A-League again. Screened the role in the hole ok - 7
James Brown: Hit the crossbar early on. Very sharp. Was taken off early in second half for tactical reasons - 7
Damien Duff: Set up the goal for David Villa. Was explosive on the right hand side. Will provide plenty of quality to the City line-up throughout the season - 8
Mate Dugandzic: Had a brilliant one-on-one chance to get the opening goal but spurned it wide. Needs to do better. Later had a volley hit well and well saved from Janjetovic - 7

Marc Marino: Played well and has got a good future ahead of him - 7
David Villa: Made an instant impact scoring with a classy finish. Did not see much of the game after that though - 7.5
