Japanese duo Yojiro Takahagi and Yusuke Tanaka have been released by the Western Sydney Wanderers.
Midfielder Takahagi and defender Tanaka joined the Wanderers in January, making 17 and 15 appearances respectively.
The 28-year-old Takahagi – formerly of Sanfrecce Hiroshima – impressed in patches, while Tanaka was solid.
But the changes in Tony Popovic’s squad continue, with both departing.
“Yojiro and Yusuke were complete professionals during their time with the Wanderers and I thank them for their time here in Western Sydney,” Wanderers chief executive John Tsatsimas said.
