Tom Rogic scores in rare Celtic start

Australian attacking midfielder Tom Rogic capped his first Celtic start since 2013 with a goal as the Scottish champions defeated Partick Thistle 2-0 on Sunday.

Rogic, 22, has failed to make a start for the Bhoys in almost two years due to a number of injuries, as well as a loan move to Melbourne Victory.

But the promising youngster has made great strides in the pre-season and was rewarded with his first start in the second round of the Scottish Premier League season.

He took his chance and put in a strong performance, even getting on the score-sheet after 28 minutes thanks to a freakish goal.

Look who's back, back again. Tom Rogic made his first Celtic FC start for two years, and here, he scores his first goal for the Hoops.

Celtic then added a second on 63 minutes through Kris Commons, with Rogic taken off for Gary Mackay-Steven shortly afterwards.

His start could make a case for him to be selected in Ange Postecoglou's provisional squad for the up-coming World Cup qualifiers.
