Wanderers sign Jets reject Madaschi

Western Sydney Wanderers have signed defender Adrian Madaschi on a short term injury replacement contract following his release from Newcastle Jets.

Madaschi has immense experience plying an extensive career in Australia, Korea Republic, Italy and Scotland which included five caps for the Socceroos, scoring two goals. Madaschi also represented Australia at U-17, U-20 and U-23 level.

The towering defender comes to the Wanderers as an injury replacement following the devastating news that Nick Ward suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury in the final moments of the Wanderers match against Melbourne Victory on March 13.

Madaschi joined the Wanderers squad today and will train with the side in preparation for tomorrow’s match against his former club Newcastle Jets.
