Sydney FC have completed the signing of Young Socceroos captain and former Perth Glory left-back Riley Woodcock on a one-year deal.
Woodcock, 20, made 13 A-League appearances for the Glory in 2013-14 before playing just once last season.
He joins Brandon O'Neill in making the switch from Glory to Sydney, having turned down offers from elsewhere.
"I'm very thankful to be given the opportunity to play for a club with the stature of Sydney FC and extremely excited to be playing under Graham Arnold and his coaching staff," Woodcock said.
"I know the club has big, ambitious plans in the years ahead, particularly in Asia and that was a huge factor in me turning down other offers to sign for Sydney FC."
Sky Blues coach Graham Arnold said it would be difficult for Woodcock, but hopes the full-back can step up at the club.
"Riley is another great prospect and a good addition for us," he said.
"He will provide competition for places and it’s a sign that we are building not only for next year but for the future of the club.
"Moving to a club like Sydney FC will be a challenge for him but one I’m more than confident he can succeed in."
