    Subject: Newcastle = deluded

With me being a Sunderland fan I obviously hate the mags anyway, however what really riles me is the fact that every season they reckon that they will be pushing far at least a UEFA Cup spot.

The fact that they are rubbish fans who boo their team off every game also speaks volumes. The worst though has to be the racist shouts that have been heard coming from their putrid mouths all season.

Does anyone here agree with me?

Sunderland lost 16 in a row, played Preston away in the Championship and 1400 went.

Newcastle lost 4 in a row, played Everton away in the Premier League and 900 went.

I completely agree. They're so dilusional Newcastle fans. They live in their own world, where they believe they're the best club in football . Why. Because they had one decent season a decade ago. The way they treated Sam Allardyce was a disgrace. How can they possibly expect him to turn the team into a major Premier league force in three months. When was the last time they even won a competition.

Newcastle fans pretty much need to except that they're an average side that will take abit of time to work themselves up. Possibly stability is what they need but they've never had that due to strenuous demands of the managerial job.

Newcastle Utd are a major footballing outfit. Within Europes top 20 clubs we are one of the only Major British cities with one club. What upsets me is many of our fans horrendous, dated, xenophobic outlook. An example was when we appointed the joke that was Allardyce. Despite the man never winning a football trophy and being called a success for leading a team to a top ten finish by playing rugby, those interviewed outside our ground said he was a better bet than Sven. This is even though Svens record is second to few in european football management. I have yet to spot an ethnic face in Sunderland. The place is insular, small and racist. What we need is a MAJOR football man to back our stature, size and ambition. We are not happy to be an Aston Villa or Spurs. I want Keegan out because he has proven not to deliver. A likeable man he is, a football manager he is not. I just wish we would be clever enough to do an Arsenal and pluck a Wenger like character from the J League or other such less established footballing nation.

How has Keegan not delievered, judging by his resources, i.e. the team available and time he had to get his own players, he has done a decent job so far.  Newcastle are not a big team anymore, you have a large fanbase but you don't have a squad capable of anything major.  Your not one of Europe's top 20 clubs, Allardyce was not a joke, how the **** can you expect him to turn a crap side into world beaters in 3 months?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!  To be honest being a Villa or a Spurs is at least better than what you've had for the last few years, the fact that you've never seen a black person in Sunderland is irrelevant, by the way last I checked Kenwyne Jones was black! You stupid man! The last trophy you won was the Intertoto Cup in 2006, thats barely even a competition!!!!  The last top flight league title you won was in 1927 for god's sake!  Your not a big club anymore just accept it and leave the people that know football to talk about it.

Er, since you last won a trophy Villa have won the league and the European Cup and a few league cups, Spurs have won 4 league cups, 3 fa cups and 2 uefa cups. In addition, Villa are improving every year and have an exciting young squad and Spurs will be playing European football for a third straight season. Newcastle failed to sign Woodgate and Modric as both wanted to play for a team that has potential. If I was a Newcastle fan, I would be happy with stability next season and a top half finish.

That Newcastle fans comments have just summed him and the rest of them up. Never seen a black man in Sunderland? One of my best mates is black you stuid prat. If anything you have just proved your racist.

As a commited Southerner I really couldn't give a tuppenny f**k about the North East rivalry anymore than they probably give a t0ss about the North London one, but I would like to say that 'King Kev' is a joke. Like the Toon fan said, nice bloke, crap manager. The only place he is held in respect (as a gaffer) is on the Tyne. His pitiful showing as England boss sums him up - walking out because it was 'just too big a job'! I know that his "love it" tirade has become has iconic as David Pleat's skippy run celebration or Delia's "Let's be having you" drunken 'pep talk', but it is just indicative of his poor managerial credentials. Fergie played playground mind games and Keegan went for it, hook, line and sinker and lost the league. The guy is an amateur and another example of the old adage about great players rarely making great managers.

wildebest, there is more passion in one north east fan than in the whole of London. Most passionate fans in the world. Apart from Middlesbrough of course the y cant fill their stadium.

To be honest safcrhys, all fans up north think they're brilliant. You talk of Newcastle fans being delusional, yet here we have a Sunderland fan who seems to think the North has sensational football teams because the fans are apparently "passionate". You can anywhere down south and find the same thing in Southern football fans.

I agree that there is an issue about how passionate our fans are. It is a joke. True, we are a footballing area and have little interest in other sports but that dosent mean that our fans are more passionate. To be honest, I like Roy Keane but some of his signings have been horrific and he has spent loads. Thing is, not many footballers would move to Sunderland and why would they?...Any of you guys who have never been to Sunderland, imagine poverty and woolworths as your main shopping outlet. It is truly a horrific place. Back to football, Keegan out. He is passionate but isnt clever. The premier league has moved on since 96. Tactics and discipline play a greater role. What we seriously need to do is get rid of mediocre players like Smith and Milner. (Maybe Sunderland might take them of our hands at silly prices) We are a major football outfit. We operate on an impatient level and why not. I see no problem with bombing people out if they dont do the job. How long do coaches last in 'Serie A' at major outfits if they dont do well?...We demand success. I would rather that than be content with mid table. We need to look into Quique Sanchez Flores, Van Gaal, and Mancini. These are the men we need. We dont need people who have proven not win football trophies. I used to live in Japan and have a sound knowledge of world football. Please dont question my knowledge.

The admirable thing about the people up north is that they sell-out their home games regardless of whether their team is good or not.

What do you base your "major football outfit" comment on? I can't see what you have to go on, other than a good stadium. It's all well and good to demand success, but you do actually have to be a little patient and give a manager time. Comments like that only serve to fuel peoples ideas about Newcastle fans. You'll never get success by just sacking the manager after one season.

I also don't see what living in Japan has to do with you having a great football knowledge. Nobody has questioned your knowledge, but coming on here and trying to tell everybody that you know lots about football all over the world means nothing to the current topic.
