In case you missed the opening matches on Saturday, FourFourTwo’s got you covered with the MSL Wrap – Terengganu and Felda get ball rolling.

Perak vs Selangor

Tue Feb 16 | Perak Stadium | 9pm

Last meeting: Perak 0 Selangor 2 (Aug 22, 2015; MSL)

Player to watch: Hafizul Hakim (Perak), Hafiz Kamal (Selangor)

Billed as: Avoiding the early catch-up race

Summary: Both teams are eager to get a win under their belt after opening day draws, but Perak will feel the more pressured of the two if they fail to collect three points for the second time running at home.

It does not help that the hosts will be without the services of skipper Nasir Basharuddin and highly-rated winger Nurridzuan Abu Hassan. Even the absence of Selangor’s injured trio Nazmi Faiz Mansor, Ahmad Hazwan Bakri and Robert Cornthwaite are unlikely to weaken Zainal Abidin Hassan’s side as S. Veenod, R. Gopinathan and Razman Roslan are shoe-in replacements.

Having held 2015 champions JDT 1-1 away from home in the opening match, the Red Giants will go into the match with the belief that their season is on the right track.

FFT Prediction: Perak 0 Selangor 2
