Malaysia Super League (MSL) teams are looking to beef up their squads in the mid-season transfer window, which opened on Monday. FourFourTwo lists a weekly update of the activities that have taken place, players on trial and the gossips…
Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT)
The Southern Tigers are yet to announce any signing for their MSL squad, but they have signed Brazilian defender Rafael De Jessus Bonfim for JDT II. He is expected to someday replace compatriot Marcos Antonio.
JDT are also expected to announce the re-signing of Felda United youngster Hadin Azman and have also been linked with right-sided player Azrif Nasrulhaq. However, the latter's move is under doubt at the moment as he needs to secure a release by Selangor.
IN: Thiago Fernandes (Unregistered)
Thiago isn’t really a new signing but he will be a new addition to Felda for the remainder of the season after recovering from a thigh injury. His place in the squad was taken by Francis Forkey Doe and Thiago will now partner the in-form Liberian.
Thiago was expected to replace Brazilian centre-back Gilberto Carlo but Irfan Bakti Abu Salim is believed to have had a change of heart and could instead sacrifice Zah Rahan Krangar, even though he has been vital alongside Lutfulla Turaev in midfield this season.
