After much speculation, Azraai Khor Abdullah has replaced George Boateng as head coach of Kelantan.
The news was confirmed by Tan Sri Annuar Musa, President of the Kelantan Football Association, on his Facebook page on Tuesday following Kelantan's less-than-impressive run of results under the Dutchman.
"After negotiating and discussing with all parties involved, the Kelantan FA is happy to announce that there will be immediate changes to the coaching set-up to ensure that the Red Warriors are in their best shape before the month of April arrives," he posted.
"Azraai Khor will be the new head coach and will be assisted by Zahasmi Ismail and Mohmad Sidek effective March 25th, 2015."
Boateng, however, will remain on the East Coast side's books as he will be taking up his new posts as Kelantan's senior head coach and technical director.
Azraai is one of the most successful coaches in Malaysia, most memorably winning all three domestic trophies with Kedah in the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons.
His previous coaching role was at T-Team last year, where he failed to prevent the team from being relegated to the Malaysian Premier League before tendering his resignation.comments
