Southern Tigers coach Mario Gomez will once again take his ever-improving side to face his former employers South China in the AFC Cup last eight.

Mario Gomez's men won all six games, scoring 21 goals and conceding only three times despite despite fielding a second-string side in their final two matches.

JDT defeated South China 4-2 on aggregate after being held 1-1 away from home in the first-leg.
