Diouf closing on Sabah move

Former Liverpool forward El Hadji Diouf is edging closer to a move to Sabah.

Currently a free agent after being released by English side Leeds United at the end of last season, the Senegalese arrived in Kota Kinabalu today to discuss personal terms with the Malaysian Premier League outfit.

He previously spent the majority of his career playing for English clubs including Bolton Wanderers, Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers and Doncaster Rovers.

Despite his infamous on-the-pitch antics, Sabah head coach George O’Callaghan believes that Diouf can be the key player to help his side to gain promotion to the Super League next season.

Besides Diouf, the Rhinos have also been linked with Brunei DPMM striker Roy O'Donovan, Libya international Eamon Zayed and Brazilian defender Tales dos Santos.
