National team head coach Dollah Salleh is open to the idea of using both local and foreign players for the exhibition match against Liverpool on July 24th.
As reported earlier, the Reds will be coming to Malaysia this July for an exhibition match as part of their pre-season tour.
Liverpool last visited the country in 2011 and handed a 6-3 thrashing to Malaysia Select XI, who were made up of local stars.
It is expected that another all-local line-up will be selected again for the match, but Dollah did not rule out the possibility of including the foreign players into the squad during a press conference on Wednesday.
“I will definitely be picking the local boys, who will be eager to play against Liverpool, and it will be good experience for them,"said Dollah when quizzed about making his team an M-League All-Stars.
“However, if the FAM General-Secretary is okay with it, I won’t mind calling up the foreign players because they will make the team stronger."
