The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) is reportedly monitoring the progress of Dion Cools.
According to Kosmo!, the FAM is interested to call up Cools, who recently helped Club Brugge qualify for the UEFA Champions League play-offs, for international duty.
Having been born in Sarawak, the Belgium Under-19 international is qualified to play for Malaysia.
The 19-year-old has yet to be capped by Belgium at full international level.
"Cools is on the FAM's radar,” said an unnamed source within the organisation.
“We wish to call him up, along with two other mixed Malaysians who are currently playing in Europe.
“The FAM is keen on recruiting young mixed players who can represent Malaysia and have great potential.”
Cools previously expressed his interest to represent the Harimau Malaya in an exclusive interview with FourFourTwo Malaysia.comments
