The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has announced that foreign players may feature in the upcoming friendly match against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Lilywhites, who will be coming to Malaysia at the end of the month, are scheduled to face a Malaysia XI side on May 27th.
However, according to an official statement released on the FAM’s website, that team will most likely to feature a few foreign players from the M-League due to the unavailability of the national players from Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Pahang.
Both JDT and Pahang, who secured their spots in the AFC Cup’s Round of 16, will have AFC Cup commitment on May 26th or 27th.
The statement also explains that the friendly match with the Premier League club has been organised to allow head coach Dollah Salleh to test and try new players on the international stage without affecting their FIFA ranking.
All tickets for the match are now available for purchase at Ticketpro, either online via www.ticketpro.com.my and hotline, +603-7880-7999.
