Japan vs Brazil tickets go on sale 4 September

Tickets for the highly anticipated international friendly between Japan and Brazil will go on sale this week, as the two football powerhouses prepare to go head-to-head at the National Stadium on 14 October 2014.

Fans will be able to purchase tickets from 9am on Thursday, 4 September through www.sportshubtix.sg and from 10am through other Sports Hub Tix sales channels, with special discounts available for group purchases and fans who bought tickets for the Juventus game previously.

Japan, the reigning AFC Asian Cup champions, will be the home side against Brazil, five-time FIFA World Cup winners.

The event, part of the Gillette Brazil World Tour and the second major football match at Singapore's new Sports Hub after Juventus' visit in August, ushers in a fresh new era for both teams with new coaches and a desire to forge strong sides for the next World Cup tournament in 2018.

Dunga, a world cup winner as Brazil captain in 1994, took over as manager for a second time in July (after leading the nation to the quarter-finals in 2010) and is looking to rekindle the magic of his country's football heritage.

"We are truly excited to be heading to Asia to play Japan," he said in a specially recorded message for fans in the region.

"I think Japan are the best team in Asia, so it is great for us to have this opportunity as we start to rebuild.

"I am excited about my new team and it will be wonderful for us to play in front of our many Asian fans."

Japan are also lead by a new coach in Javier Aguirre, and the Samurai Blue are expected to bring a strong squad down to Singapore with an eye on their upcoming Asian Cup defence in Australia early next year.

"The game between Japan and Brazil will bring some of the world's best players to Singapore and it fits exactly with the Sports Hub's mission to bring world-class events to the world-class venue," said Malcolm Thorpe, Vice President of Sports Development & Events at World Sports Group, the event promoter.

"With Juventus having just played in Singapore, this is a terrific time for football fans and we are very pleased to offer such good value tickets, especially for families and people who bought tickets for the Juventus game."

Tickets for Japan vs Brazil start at S$40 for adults and S$25 for children under the age of 16.

There are also family packs (two adults and two children) for S$100 and S$160 depending on seat section, as well as group packages for interested parties.

Fans who bought tickets for the Juventus game in Singapore will also get a S$20 discount on any category of ticket (S$10 for children) as long as they buy in the next two weeks.

Japan vs Brazil will kick off at 6.45pm on Tuesday, 14 October.
