Kedah and Penang will be making their return to top-flight football next year after winning on the last day of the 2015 Malaysian Premier League season.
The Red Eagles were crowned the league champions after beating DRB-Hicom 5-1 thanks to a Sandro da Silva hat-trick and a brace from Chidi Edeh.
Meanwhile, the Panthers beat UiTM FC 2-0 at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Malacca to finish second and overtake T-Team, who surprisingly lost 2-1 to Kuantan, in the league standings.
It will be their first appearance in the Malaysian Super League since they were relegated to the second division in 2012 and 2010 respectively.
With their final league positions, both Kedah and Penang also secured their spots in Pot Three of the upcoming 2015 Malaysia Cup.
