The Harimau Muda will face host nation South Korea in the opening match of the 2014 Asian Games, which will kick off on September 14, after being drawn in Group A.
Saudi Arabia and fellow Southeast Asian nation Laos will join Datuk Ong Kim Swee's boys in Group A of the Incheon showcase as well.
Only the top two teams from each group will proceed to the Round of 16.
Speaking to Astro Arena before the draw, team manager Datuk Seri Afandi Hamzah set the target for the team, whose best performance was winning bronze in Jakarta 1962 and Tehran 1974, to at least make it to the quarter-finals.
In the 2010 edition in China, Malaysia were knocked out by Iran in the Round of 16.
Afandi also confirmed that the Harimau Muda will head to China in early September for its pre-Asian Games training camp and friendly before departing for Incheon.
