Malaysian FA Cup draw: Holders Pahang face JDT, LionsXII get easier passage

Pahang will begin their Malaysian FA Cup defence against Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT).

Pahang ended an eight-year wait to win the FA Cup for only the second time in their history after edging Felda United 2-1 in the final last season, while their counterparts, JDT, last appeared in a FA Cup final in 2013 when they were defeated by Kelantan,

Other mouth-watering all-Super League ties include Sarawak taking on 2013 winners Kelantan and Felda United meeting Selangor again, after thrashing the Red Giants in last season's Malaysia Cup.

Singapore's LionsXII, who will face FAM League's Melayu Kedah in the second round, have arguably the easiest route to the final, as they will not face a top division side until the semi-finals, at least.

The tournament will kick off sometime in February with Harimau Muda C and DRB-HiCOM meeting Kuala Lumpur and PKNS respectively in the first round.
