Najib picks Spain

Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak is confident that Spain will win the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The Prime Minister said he was confident that La Roja would be able to defend their title won in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa based on their excellent perfomance.

"England is my sentimental favourite, but I don't think they will go far in the competition," he said in a conversation after delivering a keynote address at the Invest Malaysia 2014 in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

"I also like the way Brazil play, but I think Spain will win."

The conversation was moderated by PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia's former Executive Chairman, Datuk Seri Johan Raslan.

Spain will play their opening Group B match against the Netherlands on June 13.
