Dion Cools' team, Oud-Heverlee Leuven, have secured a swift return to Belgium's first division following relegation just a year ago.
OH Leuven will play Pro League football again next season after a 1-0 win over Eupen in the final round of the Belgian Second Division play-off.
Macedonia striker Jovan Kostovski headed the game-winning goal from a free-kick by former Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace midfielder John Bostock.
Prior to the match, OH Leuven only needed a draw to guarantee their first-place finish in the mini-league play-off.
Jacky Mathijssen, who took over as OHL head coach last December, was proud of his team’s achievement.
"This is incredible,” he told Sporza after the match.
“We have worked very hard and the players have done well.
"We have a lot of people looking in the same direction and I hope we will continue to pull through next season.”
Kuching-born Cools started the match, his sixth of the play-off, and played the whole 90 minutes.
