Phoenix winless run extends to three

Top four hopefuls Wellington Phoenix have been left frustrated after being held to a goalless draw with Melbourne City in Lower Hutt on Saturday afternoon.

Phoenix hitman Roy Krishna fired a low strike wide in stoppage-time as Wellington's winless run extended to three games.

The result is a boost for City, who remain seventh but close to within a point of sixth-placed Brisbane Roar.

Wellington remain fourth, but level on points with third-placed Adelaide United who face Perth Glory on Sunday.
