Rozaimi Rahman involved in car crash

Sabah footballer Rozaimi Rahman and his cousin were involved in a car accident on Monday.

The accident took place around 1:30pm nearby Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (C) Shan Tao in Kota Kinabalu when the 23-year-old was believed to have lost control of his car before it overturned several times.

They were rushed to the hospital immediately after the crash to receive emergency treatment.

According to a Facebook post quoting Sabah Suria FM announcer Farish Aziz, who was mistaken as Rozaimi’s cousin in the car, the Sabah striker is in a stable condition.

"I have just returned from the hospital. Amy [Rozaimi] is in a stable condition, fully awake and can respond to questions," the post read.

“[Meanwhile] his cousin is in still in intensive care and has not awakened.”

Rozaimi, who has struggled to stake a claim for a spot in Sabah's starting line-up this season, was selected for the preliminary squad for the Harimau Muda's 2015 SEA Games campaign but did not make the final cut.
