TMJ slams FAM following UAE defeat

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) was on the receiving end of criticism from Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim again.

The Crown Prince of Johor, who is also  Royal Patron of the Johor Football Association, was livid with Malaysia’s humiliating defeat in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against the United Arab Emirates.

At half-time when the Harimau Malaya were losing 7-0, he posted a short rant on Johor Darul Ta’zim’s official Facebook page.

“It was supposed to be an election to change Malaysian football, but now it is too late,” the Crown Prince of Johor referred to last year's FAM presidency election, which he lost to Tengku Abdullah Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah.

“If the head isn't right, the tail follows suit!”

Following his defeat in the election, Tunku Ismail briefly acted in an advisory role in the FAM but resigned due his dissatisfaction with the organisation.
